Teaching and learning
Our classrooms follow the Australian Curriculum through the NESA syllabuses. Students at Al-Faisal College – Liverpool experience a formalised curriculum in Years 7-11.
The High School at Al-Faisal College seeks to create a learning environment that is characterised by:
• Innovative teaching and learning strategies
• Differentiated curriculum
• Integration of ICT through smart boards in rooms and access to computer laboratories
• A broad range of assessment to cater to the various student learning styles
Stage 6
As Al-Faisal College Liverpool continues to expand, in 2021 the school welcomed its first cohort of senior students (Stage 6.) This class of outstanding young men and women, many whom have been part of the Al-Faisal Liverpool story since the school’s inception, have begun the year in a positive manner and are working hard across all subjects to ensure they achieve their best possible results.
At the Liverpool school we are establishing a strong S.T.E.M curriculum that is built around CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS and BIOLOGY. These three core science units, paired with an outstanding MATH program including STANDARD, ADVANCED and EXTENSION, are aimed at assisting with developing the necessary skills that students will need to succeed at university, as well as our modern world Insha Allah.
In conjunction to becoming a S.T.E.M focused school, we also offer a range of humanities subjects (ENGLISH, BUSINESS STUDIES, PDHPE, SPORTS LIFESTYLE and RECREATION STUDIES and ARABIC), to expand the students thought processes and allow them to connect with ideas and issues which form many parts of our society.
We wish the students all the success in the world and will continue to nurture their academic, social and emotional growth as they progress to the HSC and beyond. We look forward to welcoming future years and students to be part of the Al-Faisal Liverpool School.
Below are just some of the innovative and forward-thinking approaches to learning that foster the holistic student development which we offer.
