Digital Animation Workshop

Year 4 students attended digital animation workshop. The presenter Mr Phil from DigiEd took the students into the exciting world of animation. Students learnt to create storyboards, built clay models, created sets and filmed their own stories by using digital cameras and laptop computers. They edited and produced their own digital animated movie. At the end of the workshop students took their movie home on a full quality DVD.

It took the entire day for each year 4 class to complete their training and practical activities. It was a process of bringing something to life, making it come alive and move. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of hard work. I could see the glow of my students’ determination on their faces which remained as it was until the end of the day.
