Curriculum

Al-Faisal College follows the N.S.W Board of Studies curriculum while providing further opportunities for our students to learn the Arabic language, the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies. The College provides an environment which promotes cultural tolerance, compassion and living in harmony with other communities.

Students are taught to understand and acknowledge the cultural and linguistic within the Australian community. Al-Faisal College is proud of the support and guidance offered to students. We aim to assist each student to strive for academic and personal success, by providing highly trained and qualified staff, who have experience in a wide range of teaching and learning strategies, to cater for the individual differences and the needs of the students.

Al-Faisal College is both registered and accredited with the NSW Board of Studies, and our second group of students will be candidates for the Higher School Certificate in Year 12, in 2009. (InshaAllah)

All students at our school study Arabic (K-10), with allowance being made for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. All students also study the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies.

In addition to Physical Education, a school Sports program is also offered, involving team and individual activities and competitions.

As our school expands into Year 12, the nature and range of our curriculum will vary according to needs and circumstances.

Our commitment is to ensure that all eligible students gain their School Certificate / Higher School Certificate, having satisfactorily completed a range of courses, including Arabic and Islamic Studies.
