Assalam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
Al-Faisal College is an independent co-educational school where opportunities for learning are equally valued for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 (K-12).
The College was established in 1998 and although our school is fairly young, it has grown remarkably from its humble beginnings. Our new third building was completed in 2008, which is fully equipped with extensive facilities. We have worked hard to provide our students with the best and latest technology, interesting teaching and learning programs and pastoral care.
Our main goals are to ensure that our students become responsible, productive and contributing members of the Australian society.
Al-Faisal College provides high quality education, which fosters the students’ spiritual, moral, social, physical and intellectual development and leadership. Students are taught mandatory subjects required by the NSW Board of Studies and given the opportunity to learn the Arabic Language and Islamic Culture. The sole purpose in teaching children Islamic Culture is to instill in them God – Consciousness, that is the awareness that they are being observed by God at all times.
At Al-Faisal College, we act in a belief that we all share fundamental human values and morals with others regardless of their cultural backgrounds or faith. We value the diversity of backgrounds our students and staff bring to learning and teaching. Our highly qualified and dedicated teachers and staff are our greatest assets. We work together with the parents as a team to provide the best possible environment in which young people can adopt values such as tolerance, trustworthiness, respect, courtesy, compassion and kindness to others.
Al-Faisal College strives for academic excellence and every student is encouraged to achieve his/her best. Our first Year 12 students undertook the HSC examinations in 2008 and we are very proud of their results and achievements. Our students have decided to continue to further their studies at tertiary level, gaining entry into the best universities in NSW. These universities have even offered some of our students scholarships. Congratulations to Class of 2008!
It is a privilege to lead such a great school, which has been visited by many politicians, diplomats and dignitaries from Australia and other countries. We have been honoured by the former Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable John Howard, who visited the college twice in the years 2000 and 2005.
As Australian Muslims, we are proud that we are part of this big family “Australia”. We believe that we are all different but have something to contribute to our country. We pray that peace and harmony will prevail and that Australia will lead in new discoveries and explorations for a better world.
I hope that the new generations to come, will be better equipped with knowledge, skills and wisdom in order to contribute to the prosperity of Australia.
May Allah bless you all and bless Australia.
Al Faisal College came 3rd. among Bankstown area schools in the HSC performance.
